View Full Version : why adrian needed new tranny

we got the transmission off of adrians 00' cougar yesterday and found a few suprises. The bell housing had gashes all over and even a hole in one side...plus plenty of other damage. the slave cylinder was destroyed along with the clutch. what happened was part of the flywheel (shown in my hand), somehow broke off inside of there and tore everything apart.

it took us about 3 days, getting the subframe out was so horrible. never again will i ever do a tranny.
