ive heard of places before where you can rent a garage for a day that has a lift. Perhaps not around here, but i know they exist.

Only place I've heard of that is at military base auto hobby shops. I used to rent stalls like that all the time.

unless they appeared quite recently, i can guarantee there is no such thing as rent-a-garage in Colorado. I've tried to find one ever since i came here. or, if they do exist, it must be some closed membership-type thing.

are we talking about a complete sub-frame? or just a cross member?
taking out a cross member is easier than hell, you better not be bitching about that ;)

Try a university somewhere..you may have to pay a little higher rate, but any bigger school should have an auto shop. At least they did in montana...

we have one at school, but they won't let anybody else in due to liability.
just use jackstands, i've dropped subframes on common jackstands without any trouble.
