you have to run the coils in parallel.

It depends. What is the impedence of each voice coil? The only way is if it is a dual 2 ohm sub. How many subs? One or Two? If 2 then you need 2 dual 4 ohm subs wired in parallel.

Unless you have an amp capable of running in high current mode (ie: low ohms, competition, etc).

Funny Mike.

The Eclipse Aluminum subs are pretty good. Dunno about the DEI amps.

Do the subs have dual voice coil or single voice coil?

I believe the DEI amp will only run 4 ohms in mono. So, if the subs are single voice coiled, bridge each amp and run it to 1 sub. If each sub is dual voice coiled, run the amp in stereo and connect each output to each voice coil.

Sick ass set up bro! Those are dual 3 ohm subs. Consider them 4ohm. Used to sell them at quality all the time. Which 1100d's? The first generation or 2nd? I don't know what the 3rd look like if they exist, dont think so... But they are the Directed version correct? Not Viper? You should set those up as master and slave. You can see how you will need to wire them here....

IT will fuckin pound! I have two alpine type R 12's master and slaved with two newer 600d's and it is more than enough. One of my friends has the same set up as you and it is bangin'!

Do you have a Cap to handle all of that current draw? I have a Alumapro 15 Farad cap that is brand new in the box with all the components if you are intrested. Supports zero guage wire. Let me know if you are intrested...

His set up is bad ass. IMO. Anyhow the aluminums only came in Dual Voice Coil. The DEI Amps are 2 ohm stable when master and slaved and 1 ohm stable when independently used. I have mine parralleled all the way down to 1 ohm and I am am running them master and slaved. If you beat on them enough they will kick off but otherwise that never happenes cause I don't listen to them that loud.

Master and Slaved Parrelled. Runnin' at 1 ohm. He is hittin' 145 DB in a coupe Civic. Also with a custom box. 60% or so of your sound comes from your box so if you have a shitty box it will sound shitty, or well not as good.

Wow, so with no woofer but a kickass box, I can still expect 87 dB of output???

Threadjackers . . . MOUNT UP!!! :fu:
