Quick Question about washing

I just washed my car the day before the rainstorm yesterday. Since my car only has water spots from the rainstorm, is it really necessary to scrub them out? Or will a high pressure hose be ok?

Best to actually get out the bucket and mitt. the spots are mineral and other deposits plus when it gets wet out in the elements it collects a lot of dust and other crap that you need to get off. I wouldnt dry the car with anything without washing that stuff off because you will be dragging al that crap across your paint.
