HAI Cruise - Saturday 5/15 @ 3pm - 108th and Colorado

There's too much confusion in the other thread (http://www.highaltitudeimports.com/showthread.php?t=20015). If people have to dig to find the place and time, they aren't going to come, especially if there's conflicting information. So, here is the important info, right here in the first post of this thread:

Time and date: 3pm on Saturday, May 15th
Meeting location: the park off of 108th and Colorado Blvd

I can't imagine that people are going to want to dick around in the park for 2 hours before leaving. If we did that, then everyone would most likely just show up at 5, but it's too late to be making changes to the time or location. More people will show if we just keep this simple and stick to the posted time and location. It's obviously not the best location for a mountain drive, but it's what you guys chose in the other thread. It's not like it's in Kansas, so I think we can deal with it...

As for where the cruise will be, I guess I'll start looking at maps, since no one else seems to want to organize anything.

Hey, I just started this thread because there was nothing but confusion in the other one. I'm not the one who started this the cruise, and I didn't pick the meeting place or time, so it's not really mine. People don't seem to understand that a meet or cruise is not going to be successful if people have to dig through a whole thread just for the details, only to find conflicting information. Notice how this thread already has better results than the other one? All I did was clearly state the info in the first post so that there is no confusion, and suddenly we have more people interested. I really haven't contributed anything here, other than common sense.

Weston, I wasnt bagging on you. I know you went out of your way to make this separate thread since the other one was totally jacked up to 4 or 5 pages.

A cruise to either Estes or Rocky Mtn Natl Park would make more sense since it's a bigger road to drive on and there is less foot traffic around.

The problem with Flagstaff Mtn road is there is going to be a lot of foot traffic during the day with hikers/bikers/etc. Yes, it is a fun road but you wont be able to go as fast and expect to slow or stop frequently to yield to pedestrians.

yea but trail ridge road is closed, so we would have to go up Berthoud pass (sp?) not really a bad thing but its kind of out of the way

edit - ill be there for sure, but im dieing from an acute cold so dont be affraid if I sound funny. Oh yea and I found this really cool hat in my closet, guess everybody will have to come to see it ;)

that sucks about your car, we figured you died or your car broke down, well atleast you survived the better of the 2 :D

I would get the 1st gen DSM, they are fast as fawk (I used to have one, and want another as a project car), but if you dont want to put up with the reliablity I would get the Integra.
