View Full Version : r33's
hey was wondering if anyone had any info or could preferably direct me to some resourceful web sites on the specs for all the different models of the r33 skyline. being yrs 95-98 (obviously) - differences between the gtr, vspec i & ii, gts, gtsm, etc.
thanks.

Alls good... just finished doing some tuning on the car.. finally got 660 at the crank and 557 at the wheels.. I'm happy with that. Any bigger turbos and I'm gonna have too much turbo lag for driving on the streets..

Ummm.... part owner... Joule Racing/street is other part... I just get to work on it, drive it once in a while, bring it to shows and other events usually... try to think of new things to do to it to make it look better...

part owner huh? damn.that must suck having to share the car.but I guess its nice to be able to drive a very rare car.here in the states anyways.Im sure Scott and Andrea share it though.Or at least I hope so.Just out of curiousity how much did the car set you back? Up untill the drift showoff I had only seen the two r32's at the shop. But then I saw the r33 and I was totally hooked. The most pics I took while it stopped raining were of the r33.Anyways I personally think the car looks great as is.Maybe you and joule can save up for a r34 next.Although out of all of the skylines I like the r33 the best then the r34 and then the r32's.But thats just me.

Damian- come on now, you should know better than to ask that question. Its a project and cost ALOT of money... More than any of us want to realize thats been spent on a "car"... If you want to know cost of R33 go to www.RBmotoring.com or www.MotorRex.net and check out pricing. Unfortunately I don't think GTR's newer than 1995 can be imported any longer, except for offroad use, due to changes in the EPA's laws last year. Making the OBD II system on the newer cars stock as unimportable. And no, it has to be the stock computer when it comes into the country, more rules about importation... ugh. So no R34's for US citizens, or street driven cars. Foreign citizens can import any car for 1 year for street use. Well good luck, and any questions about basic R33, R32, R34 differences shoot 'em at me...

Im sure it set you guys back a pretty penny or a quite a few thousand.
big time bummer on the import law changes. What year is your car by the way? also what do you think will be the end result of the car? who is going to buy who out of the car? I mean you cant share the car forever .what if you want to move to a different state or something?
Take it easy.
Nick.

1998 GTR Vspec. Going for a mostly Road Racing idea as was Nissans idea when they came out with the car in the first place- JGTC etc championships. It was kicking everybodies arse until 1994 when someone complained to the JGTC committee that car was too hard to compete against, so they banned 4 wheel drive in the GT500 and GT300 classes. Strange how it was that same year that the Supra was introducted to JGTC, and Toyota was biggest opponent to 4 wheel drive... wonder why?!?! If you ever play GT3 on grand tourismo notice how the stock GTR's have 4wd and the Full race JGTC cars don't. I'd love to be able to get one of the pre 1994 full race GTR's 4wd, all lightened up to 2300 lbs, and 500 horses... that would be SICK!! Guess if I want to move, I will have to fly back to drive a GTR.. its worth it.. Car will stay in Colorado, that is agreement. Unless we get some great offer to buy it(meaning over 65k) it wouldn't be worth it...
