Well yeaterday after we put pat's fuel pump in my car it was running about 20-30 psi too high at idle. The funny part is the car felt a bit faster to me. Today I adjusted my fmu down to 54 psi which is closer to where it should have been. It was crazy because I had to back out the set screw about 5 turns before it would go low enough. Afterwards the car felt even better, I wish I would have adjusted it before the dyno.....oh well i'll find out if it made a difference once I get a V-AFC and go back for some tuning.

It should be running better now, it's not having to work as hard to get the extra fuel to the injectors.

Mine felt quicker too after the fuel pump.

I have one of those B+M fuel pressure risers and a Vortec FMU, any clue as to what I might set my pressure at?? You said you have yours at 54 psi at idle? That seems a bit high, but I don't really know what I'm talking about. Stock is something like 40-45 or so isn't it? What kind of pressure do you see under a load?

Mine is definetly pretty high still. The problem is that I don't have an A/F gague yet, so i'm just going off of the base numbers that the guys at sea level are running. I'm pretty sure that once its on the dyno it will end up being lowered to around 40-45psi static. The gague is under my hood so its hard to tell what its reading under WOT but is in teh neighborhood of 90 psi. I definetly want some bigger injectors before I go to 9psi just to lower my peak fuel pressure a bit.
