what are they doing exactly? just putting in the turbo kit or doing internals and all that too? when did they start on it and when will they be done? what are your plans, like how much hp are you hoping to get and all that. sorry for the questions, just really interested in your car
How come no one has jumped in with the ever so classic, "The best part about high school girls, is that as I get older, they stay the same age," yet?

CORRECTED hp maybe, no way they got 595 at the wheels uncorrected. I sure as hell wouldn't run more then that on stock internals. If I were you I'd stick around 8-10psi.

05-07-2004, 08:12 AM
What's up with this 595whp@11psi @ 8.5:1??? The boulder ppl havent posted about that just yet..? Thought they were at 507 whp @ 14-15psi @ 4600rpm back a few weeks ago? Did they just tune it for 11psi? That number doesn't sound quite right....? I know that car has forged internals, but I don't believe it's making that much hp at that "lower" boost level? Only way I'd consider believing it is if they kept the 10.3:1 comp ratio...

They probably haven't. He's talking out his ass again.

I'll be there as long as I can do a T&T to get a feel of what drag racing is like.
Are these races bracket racing, or how does it work?

595 at 11psi? sounds like a small block chevy to me. Are you sure they didnt put a 6.0 stroker kit in the Z? Like two extra cylinders?

Yes they actually did Ghandi. You should see the Nissan Quest minivan they have at Boulder Nissan, it would make MiniMonster...............err I mean AV's boyfriend jealous. I will be there on Tuesday for some stuff...........I will find out the specifics on this and report back to this thread.
Not sure why the dude wants to turbo such a fast and "Lucky Motor".
Would anyone else turbo a "Lucky Motor" if they were blessed enough to have one?
Mudd
I would, but I hear that "lucky" turbo kits are hella expensife.

I think ashton is full of shit, and this is another "Purple RX7"
#1 11psi on a stock car thats not turbocharged? :smoker:
#2 595 whp on a what 3.5 liter and 18g's? Doubtful on a stock car and only 11psi :smoker:
#3 Even if he does make that HP he wont be able to run it any faster at the track cause he cant drive.. :D
either way the 4 door sedan will still give him a rocking...

They gave these numbers to my friend Ross at last wed's test and tune. Im not totally sure what they actually have... all i know is there best time was a 13.3 and they said they were having huge motor issues.

chris brown ran a 12.8 on 400/400 whp/trq
either way 14psi on a stock block seems a little hefty
karbon2001
05-12-2004, 12:42 PM
They made 595 @ 14psi (corrected) on a full SGP-internalled block.
They are running 680cc injectors I believe, and are having a hell of a time tuning that piece of shit E-manage.
Since they already spent $60k building the damn thing, they should fork over the extra $ to buy an EMS that actually works well for there application.
They want to run 28psi, but I don't think the fuel system can support that.
The also have a G35 that is built the same as the Z.
-Chris-
G35 is still being built..........some rich kid from PA owns it. I saw it yesterday, looked like it will be a nice little ride. I think it's going to be a bit more conservative then Boulder Nissan's Z, but not nearly as conservative as that rocket ship AV630 drives.

That's one hell of a graduation present. When I graduated I got the "good, you graduated HS like you're supposed to, now go to college then get a real job."
