hey what is a good size slick for a civic with around 350 hp. i dont know the first thing about buying slicks. i dont even know how the sizes go. what do the numbers mean if its telling me it is a 33/17/15 ? not that that would be what we put on. thats just a tire i looked up randomly.

33/17/15 ? .
That would be 33" tall, 17" wide", 15" rim, WAYYY TOO FUCKING BIG FOR YOU!!!!
You want something in the 22"-24" range I'm guessing.

what about width....should i be looking for around seven to ten wide? or is ten even too big?

10" might be too wide and might rub. You want them about the same width as your wheel. 7" or 8" would probably be good.

Good info to know!
Got any recommendations on where to buy a set? After peeling out for most of 1st and part of 2nd at Bandi, I am ready to pony up for a set.
Do you have to buy special rims for them, or can I use a spare set of 15" alloys I have?
Thanks,
Robie

would a 26/8/15 be a good size for a a 93 civic? my concern is if they would rub due to height or width.

26" will most likely be too tall. Try and find something that is around 24" or less.
