Nice 6th gear dyno pull. I love the sound.

If anyone feels like giving me a 355, just send me a PM. I generally maintain the mantra that should I have the cash to afford an exotic, I still wouldn't buy one. That sound nearly justifies it though. Shiiit.

Hell if I had teh money I would buy one, I can't see why the hell not. If you do have that much money and can truely afford a ferrari then it's probably not a big deal to you.

If I had the money, sure the Ferraris are nice, I do like the 355s, but I'd still want a Lotus Elise V8TT first and foremost. Always wanted one of those.

Its always going to be a bang/buck thing for me. I would rather invest the money into a car more performance oriented than into sink it into an exotic with an outrageous maintenance schedule. The cost of the car is a big dent indeed, but a frequent $10K service, a breakdown every now and then, an other-worldly insurance premium, and the constant paranoia of leaving the thing in a parking lot, or hell, even trusting traffic around you not to smash it just isn't my idea of a fun car.
I would prefer to build a car that would smoke a Ferrari in every respect, yet not need lots and lots of expensive maintenance and not cost a fortune to insure. I also want a car that I can put miles on without worrying about rock chips and depreciation (anyone see Mischief 3000?). I have a few frankenstein monster ideas floating around in my head. They usually involve an RB or a 2JZ or a B234R ;) and some obscure but attractive mate. This brings me closer to the vehicle as I am its daddy, helps to keep it safe from the general public, and keeps me a lot safer from the insurance company too.
Take care,
Andy

If only they had a transmission that could take the power they put out.

My goal is to have a 355F1 before I die. They go for around 80 to 90. I fell in love with it ever since I watched a best motoring video that had that in a race against all kinds of badass cars. I must say I love the looks and sound and don't care about the tag, I have to have one someday.

See I guess my reasoning is just totally different. IF I had the money for one I would drive it all the time. And if I really can afford one then the cost of maintenance just isn't a concern to me. Besides me like most people don't buy them for the performance reasons, they mostly get them for the status.
