View Full Version : Someone tried to jack my shit again...

So I come out to leave on Monday morning and my alarm alerts me that it was triggered overnight. So immeadiatly (sp?) I start checking all around the car and I notice hand and palm print all over the drivers side window and the seals were peeled off and looks like they tried to pry the door open just enough to get a hanger or some shit in there. I think that's the point where maybe the alarm went off and scared them off for now, or they just got too imnpatient and left. I figure that it's only a matter of time before they reformulate another idea and come back again.

Yeah, the apartment complex I live in doesn't have garages. My first car was jacked from these apartments. We are borderline ready to demand that the leasing office expires our term because I'll be fucking damned if I let this shit happen again. I need to move into an apartment that has a garage. Although I may be buying a house this summer. I am having trouble sleeping again because I keep thinking someone is trying to bust into my shit again. Everytime I hear an alarm or anything close to one My ass is out the door with a weapon.

put a car cover on your car untill you get a garage or something. something really bright colored so it will be noticeable when someone is taking it off. plus extra time spent and less likely for them to just look and say hey that looks like a nice car.

sorry to hear that, I would get a car cover and cover the thing for the mean time until you get something more perminant.
Atleast they didn't get it though

That's what my dad suggested.
He also suggested putting a tow chain behind the car to slow them down and require them to get tools.
He also suggested kicking the living shit out of them.
All three, marvelous ideas. :D

My apartment complex has garages. They would fit two cars in tandem if my wife's car wasn't so damn long. Two car garage and a house coming next year fo sho, and it will be alarmed before we even move in.

My friend and I took the time to install a secondary kill switch inline with the power wire to the fuel pump. If they do get past your alarm, and do want your car, not you stereo, the car will turn over but will not start! Trust me bro it is worth it!
He was going to class at a local college and his car was broken into in broad daylight, they had two peeps working on the car and managed to disable his alarm and back up battery siren, they proceeded to pull apart the sterring colum to hot wire his shit, but guess what they found that he didn't even realize was in his glove box....yup you guessed it, his valet key! No need to hotwire here they had the fukin key! His kill switch was on and they couldn't get his car started, even with the key! Obviously! So they jacked his deck and Cd's. They sat there and smoked cigs in his car cause they couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start. Hidden where ever you want it, Pm me and I will help you out. Like Stu's Avatar says Suck a Dick Thief!
Sorry to hear about that shit man. Hit me up if you are intrested.

Yeah, haha. The fuel kill was the first thing I installed on my car. Tobi (hondaghandi) and I put it in a place that is so damn good. Even Brian (forum) had trouble finding it one day and he's a security nerd.
Did you and Tobi steal my idea?
THRICE
04-21-2004, 01:34 PM
I'm not sure what your idea was. ;)
Well, Tobi knew what it was, and I think he wanted to do that one day, so maybe he did it on yours. :)

Even with a garage if it's not attached what is to stop them from parking a van up to it and working their way in. Most garages in apartment complexes have thin walls.
I'm thinking about having a fuel kill installed in my car also.

Sounds like your alarm isn't loud enough, maybe try the pager alarm?

Fuck the pager one. Try the 'vibrator up your ass' alarm... that one won't fail to notify you. :)

I hear ya on being paranoid...ever since my Civic was permanently borrowed by some fucktards a mouse farting outside wakes me up. A thief would find a groggy dude in looney toons boxers with a glock scary right? 2ndary kill switch = good idea though!

Kill switches are the only way to go. If you have a wiring diagram and some electrical experience they are way easy to wire up. THe hardest part is deciding where to hide your switch. It won't keep people from stealing things out of your car, put they won't get the car itself :fu:
I have one on my daily driver and multiple on my turbo, gives me peace of mind i guess...

Wrong! You can still tow a car with a kill switch installed and activated.
The most effective thing to do is to turn your wheel to full lock while parked, with a kill switch. That means they'd have to break the steering column, or pick your lock.

120V electrical system hooked to the body, mulitple fuel switches, alarm, mean ass German Shepard sleeping in the back seat, a chain attached to the wall, then wrapped around the front control arm, and motion detecor flood lights. Yeah, that ought to do it.

Untill some fuckhead decides to hit one of your wheels while they are turned like that and fucks up your entire car for you..not sure I'd like that plan either.

I dunno how big your wheels are, but when mine are turned they are still way inside my parking spot. Not to mention someone shouldn't be close to hitting your car near the front of it when you are pulled in. :)

What part of Littleton? My Former SI got stolen and stripped from the Fairways @ Racoon Creek Apts (Pierce and Bowles) where my G-friend lives...From what Jeffco Sher. told me is that car theft/break-in's been a nagging problem for that area of Littleton.

LOL, that reminds of that commercial where the guy puts a cover of a crappy ass car over his new ride, which was a kia or something. Has anyone seen that commercial

My guess would be that he thinks 1) it makes him cool or 2) he wants to get his ass kicked
Hard to say..but I'd go with option #2.
