I'm looking at some rims, but one of them has a small bend in on the outside edge of the lip. It's not cracked, but the tire on it loses air pressure after a couple of days. Can these be fixed cheaply? Will bad things happen if I take a hammer to it? It's a Rota Slipstream (cast alloy).

If you do try a hammer, use a plastic one.. it has a little less harsh impact.
I've done aluminum alloy wheels with some success, but I'm not sure about cast-alloy though.
It will take a little more hitting, but the plastic mallet would be easier on the rim.
Oh and good luck!
