hey im new and just got done reading a thread in here, you guys know your shit so i decided to also ask a question.
i am working on a diy turbo that i pulled off a sabb and puting on a 92 civic LX w/D15b7 engine. after reading the other tread i noticed i needed to upgrade injectors to around 450 and i need a "honda resistor box" or individual resistors. my questions are how are these installed, what exactly do they do/ help with, and is there anything else that i need?
also what is a "V-Afc hack"? i came accross that in my turbo searches too. thanks for the help

A honda resistor box is for some "Peak Hold" injectors that are used. Your car has saturation style injectors that dont need the resistor.
If you switch to a DSM 450 or any peak hold style injector you will need to purchase and wire in a resistor of some sort to prevent driver burnout in your ECU. You will need your injectors, the connectors that fit them, a resistor box and some wiring skills to complete the install.
A VAFC hack is a way to trick the stock honda ecu into using the larger 450cc injectors without setting a code and making the best use of your setup. It uses a VAFC to lean out the 450s so they will essentially act as though they are the stock 210cc injectors. It is a cheap and easy way to tune for boost on a low budget but it does come with its drawbacks.

Your injectors are either 190 or 210s.
It isnt a good idea to run them, for your setup I would find a set of 310 cc injectors and do the VAFC hack or hondata.
Wiring it up is fairly easy, I should do a how to to post on here someday.
If you want me to do yours, for a small fee I can sell you the parts and show you how to hook it up. Then I can take pics and do a write up.
The "hack" is merely a term. Install larger injectors and the APEX-i VAF-C and then crank the fuel settings on the fc all the way down and thats it. It will need to be played with to get it right and dyno time is highly suggested but thats it.

how much would it all cost, and would that cost include the fuel controler. if not how much would everything cost. also i live in wyoming and i would have to drive down there should i put on my turbo and everything then drive down there or wait to put it all on till you can complete this? thanks

You'll do it if you PAY?! my god, that would be awsome. You should PM me a price. I'm going to turbo the ol' Del Sol in a few weeks here and thats the only thing i'm really worried about. 'burnout:

The fuel injector resistor boxes are $45.
Installing one and wiring it is another $75.
My price on the VAFC is not very competetive at $400, they can be found at a lot of discount places and ebay for cheaper.
This mod can be done before the turbo goes on also if that makes it easier. It will just need to be tuned after the turbo is installed for best results.
