Hey All,
Just got done with a few upgrades to my ride. 2003 Hyundai Tiburon with Alpine Tech Turbo system. No internal upgrades done.
Here's the dyno:

275.6 lb-ft. of torque  not an astronomical number by any means but that's pretty sweet.

Nice torque curve!
How's the traction? Non-existant?
:D
How much boost you pushing? Stock bottom end!? Nice!
I'm really liking that car, can you tell? LOL!

Nice power and nice car with this gen,the previous gen was a bit peculiar looking.

Did you get the 4 cylinder model because you were planning on turboing it? I knew a girl that had the higher model gt with the v6..
OK number, but great numbers for a tibi

Thanks for the props guys!
Yeah not too bad for a non-upgraded engine. During tuning I actually hit upwards of 260WHP but detonation prevented going higher. Overall I'm really pleased with these numbers out of a Hyundai. I love the looks of this gen Tiburon. The olders models made me think the Hyundai design team was on crack.
Out of curiosity how many people on this board have numbers above mine with a completely stock engine?

why does it go so lean at 3k-4.5k? You may make some more power if you iron that lump out of the fuel curve.

Yeah, that's one area the def needs improvement...for some reason the Hyundai ECU likes to lean it out in that area...I can't seem to compensate with the S-AFC... :-(

From what the dyno chart is telling me it looks as though it goes really lean jsut for a little bit and starts to misfire. The HP chart shows a small bit of stagger during that lean phase. I wonder why the ECU would do that unless it is seeing some weird readings from the map sensor or something. Is there some sor of map controller or are you usig a missing link setup to hide boost fromt eh ECU?

97Prelude has 263whp on a stock H22
And my turbo'd motor made 385 on stock internals.

I think he means stock for the whole car not just the engine itself.

Hey everyone! Here's my latest, latest dyno! :-)
http://thedicksonfamily.net/Dyno2.jpg
Dave from Paragon is an awesome tuner. He had my ride at upwards of 270WHP at one point during the dyno session. He couldn't keep detonation at bay so he backed the psi down to 15. Still not too shabby for an internally stock Hyundai!
Who all is going to Bandi on May 19th? I'll be there!!

Let me guess!
You experienced detonation at 3400 to 4000 RPM's?
That area is very lean... If you could fix that area,I bet you could run more usable boost and ultimately get more power out of it...
Nice torque range BTW

Yeah, that's because you drive a SUPRA TT!!! I drive a Hyundai!! Oh, and your ride is an inline 6 not a 4 banger like mine...
One more thing, 404RWHP seems a little low for a Supra!!! ;-)

at 5600ft? I think not, talk some shit when you take your cute little tibi to the track.
I saw him at the track. Austin, you are really bitchy lately.

What did it run?
I kept forgetting to watch him run it. He said he wasn't doing very well, and I'm pretty sure that he turned the boost down below what it was in for these dyno runs.

Okay, first I wasn't really trying to start a fight, I was just mearly stating that comparing a 2JZ-GTE to my little Hyundai BetaII engine doesn't really work.
Second, I have nothing but the utmost respect for the 2JZ Supra Engine. It is a thing of beauty! I was mearly stating that 404RWHP is no where near what the engine is capable of. I myself have seen a stock Supra do close to 650RWHP with no internal mods.
Okay, with that said. It was great meeting you Stu! I was having major traction problems that night. I did reduce the boost to 12psi and ran a best of 15.3. Not great, but not horrible considering the massive peg-leg action going on. Next purchase? Limited Slip Differential!! :-)

A bunch of n00b tuners in this thread.
I run 13.8 AF across the board. Well, as much of the RPM band as possible.
~270ish whp, pump gas, stock internals.
No aftermarket electronics controlling fuel either.
12.5 AF ratios are for sissies. :fu:
