Thought I'd offer it to the locals before I put it on Ebay. The car is not perfect, but it's very good for a 1988 CRX Si with over 200K miles on it. I will be listing it on Ebay with a reserve of $550 soon if I can't find a local buyer quickly (ie by this weekend or so).
I am NOT interested in selling just the motor, just the shell, etc - you buy it, you part it out yourself.

For examples/proof of what kind of shape it's in -
The door checker (the metal tab that holds the door open at 45 degrees) is not broken. The vent controls are not broken to the point where the cables to the heat exchanger/coolant flapper switch are disconnected from the dial. These are both typically defects on a CRX with over 120K miles on it, or less if the owner was a stupid gorilla.
The tranny is PERFECT, no grinds in any gears, even when ripping off a fast shift at redline from 1st to 2nd.
The windshield is good. The rear hatchback support struts are good. The shocks are good. Exhaust is good (has been replaced). The engine is not burning oil and blowing blue smoke upon startup or hard acceleration. All four tires are very good (at least 90% tread).
The problems -
1) Needs all four brakes serviced; possibly new rear drums. I tightened up the e-brake cable and it still doesn't slow/stop the car like it should. Master cylinder looks good; no telltale wet leaking marks.
2) Needs distributor. The car runs really strong and is fast, but as soon as it's fully warmed up, it throws the check engine light and sometimes hesitates really badly, threatens to stall. If you rev it up really high a few times, it will drive normally again. I'd bet you a dollar that replacing the distributor would cure it 100%.
3) Both seats are pretty torn up/ugly/beat. There is rust through both rear wheelwells. Both fenders and the hood are dented and not perfect. The car has no radio and no speakers.
4) The car does have a clean title, but it's a California title. Therefore, you'll need to get it emissioned before you can get a temp tag for it, and you may experience delays getting your new Colorado title (although, sometimes, they will print you one right there that day if the online system is up and communicating with the state bureau in Denver).
No lowballing please. I expect the car will sell for more than $800 on Ebay, but I'd rather not deal with that and the potential for a non-paying winning bidder if one of youze guyzs (or galzs) wants it and has CASH.
thanks,
Hsun
