Hey this is WyoTeg's little brother. I just got a 92 lude :) and I was wondering if it would be good to put a h22 head on my h23 block? Also if it would be worth it or if i should just go some other route. Let me know on anything because I wanna find something to do performance wise. Thanks for any help!

wouldn't really be worth it. they tend to overheat a lot, its not really that great of an idea. especially not when there is already a motor built like that. just go for the h22 swap, or if you are lucky and find a jdm h23 that would be worthwhile

Go another route. Full H22 or H23, don't mix em.

Ok well I still am not sure of what I can do or for that matter afford. But ill prolly end up going with building the h23 and turbo it.

just make sure that you get block resleaved. i've heard that they have a tendancy to break under boost.

Well i drove a h22 lude and i loved the vtec so i think that im gonna save up some money and get a h22 sleave it and turbo it? Also i was wandering if about 15 lbs. would be safe to run with a sleaved h22?

IF you sleeve it right and put good internals in it 15 psi would be your low boost setting. The last H I built from the ground up is on 22psi and going strong 3 years later.

Hey Honda Ghandi i wanna know from you if a h22 head on the 23 block would be good? Also how much do u think it would cost? And if it would be worth it to do the hybrid?

If you already have an entire H22 its not worth the extra CC. At least in my opinion. But for someone who has a car with an H23 init already it is worth the work to get the VTEC head.
