I bought NFS:Underground for my pc yesterday and I can not get it to load. I have WinXP and meet all the system requirements. It installs fine, but when I try to run the game the NFS splash screen comes up and then it either tries to dial a connection to the internet and then crashes back to the desktop, or will say insert disk and then crashes back to the desktop. My screen is currently set at a resolution of 1024x768, but i have also tried it in 800x600 with 16 bit color, and the same thing happens. I've also turned of my anti-virus and other background programs just like the instructions say.

Has anyone else used this game on their pc and run into this problem?

Tried that and no workie

I think the video card may be the culprit. Its a radeon 7000 and after taken another look at the requirements it needs a radeon 7500. must have misread it at the store.

oh well, just gives me a reason to upgrade the video card now :)
