no offense, but i saw some cars representing kaotic impulse last week at the meet off 72nd and feds. and to be honest, a tercel with blinging rims, 4-5 cars with park bench wings, neons and touting their blow off valves in the parking lot, just doesn't grab my intrest.
especially the 1 guy with the silver 3rd gen auto eclipse w/ folgers size muffler. his supposed $5000 system is a plain lie, plus trying to sell us an amp for way more then what the retail shops sells us for is pathetic. just cause my friends and i have slanted eyes, don't try to take us for fools.

ohhhhh man and so the shit talking begins lol. I know a couple of the kaotic impulse and dark evolutions guys and they are nice people but they definitely fall under the ohhh so abtly named "ricer" category heh. Im actually really good buddies with the guys from driving dynamics and thats the only reason i go to these things. At the cruise i was there with travis and his corrolla but all the other guys (dark evolutions, kaotic impulse) are pretty ricedout pos cars though haha later guys, kevin.

I havta agree. I have respect for those crews simply because of their passion for cars. On the other hand with no offense intended, but spray-painted cars and home-made "park bench" wings = rice and that just dosen't grab my intrest either. Also isn't that parking lot at hollywood legends just full of pot holes? POT HOLES+LOWERED CAR W/LOW PROFILE TIRES= ;UgH: !!!

that's what i'm saying. not to rag on your car show, but damn, this is outdoor car show, at a dirt parking lot with mountain, valleys and trenches. ks 107.5 is gonna be there, so you know that it's going to be mostly posers or people who have 2f2f in their car visual system.
sorry, but if i want to see park benchs attached to the rear of cars, neons, leds, stickers, bov's going off more often then automatic door openers and such. i'll keep my 5 bucks and just enjoy the views of cars rolling around federal heights, specifically the 84th ave area.

After reading all these responses and pondering on ALL the things we wanted to reply with, we have decided that the best and easiest response is this:
Colorado has MANY car enthusiasts be it rich and poor, skilled and unskilled, cool and uncool. Our car shows that we throw give everybody the chance to win something. Speaking personally, every paycheck since the end of Feburary that I have made from BOTH of my jobs have gone into this show, all to be GIVEN away. We don't crave reward, we just want the scene to grow here in Colorado. Since there are very few Super Tuner cars here, (or that aren't garaged), we have to make do with what we have. "Tercel's with blinging rims", "cars with bolt on parts", etc. are the foundation of the growing scene here. The people are trying to do what they can with what they have, and in that respect, we are showing our support for those who are actually trying to progress by hooking them up rather than making fun of people on the net and degressing the scene. ;NutKick;
So, on that note, we look foreward to seeing ALL of your AMAZING cars out there, since they seem so superior to the rest of the state, and please feel free to win our trophies, shop credits and other cool prizes that are up for grabs.....

well said dark evolution. Unfortunatly most of the posers on this board (especially stu) are not into the "racing scene" they are into racing. THe scene is definatly growing here and could use all the help it can get. But you may be preaching to the wrong choir.
You wish I'd pose for you, and I wish you had enough money to convince me to do it.

It IS only $20.00 to enter, except on the day of the show. We did the best we could to keep costs down, it's just that we went all out for the people who show up. I could have easly done my motor swap with the money I spent alone, not counting the money all the other crews spent.
Weston-work, your comment about "a real show" is humorous only in the fact that our show is a real show. One can only provide the foundation for success, the rest is up to the masses......

About your comment on how you are giving "everyone" the chance to win something? Seriously, what if 10 damn good cars show up. All the people that you strived to get there are not going to win anything and the 10 cars for HAI are just going to make everyone feel bad. I give you props on getting 107.5 there but pick a better location next time. That parking lot is junk and the area, well, I will never dare to go to that club because to much crap goes down there.

I agree with the parking lot issue, but it's not that bad. What little holes there are we are going to try to "fix" that day. Velocity has someone on the inside there and set up the deal on the building. And the comment about "everyone" winning something, yeah, maybe not everyone will win something, as we are not millionaires, but we are getting as many prizes and trophies that we can. Our car shows are for positive influence and enhancement of the CO car scene. I am getting the feeling that the people who have posted on this thread aren't much about the positive side of much, muchless the positive growth of the car scene, (presumption concluded by reading other posts throughout this site). Also, your comment about your cars winning everything probably won't happen since ya'll have made it clear that you aren't coming anyway....

i went.........what a waist of money. there was probably only 4 show quality cars...and that was it. the 350z was nice....from about 20 feet away.....but when you got up close, there were runs on the body kit. pink wrx with the ricer white grille.....come on....yuck!! the one car that stood out for me was a dodge ram with the kick ass paint job. sorry but that show was a waste of my time.

I went as well. A bunch of us (from coloradoep3.com) stopped by ... pretty much a bunch of weaksauce.
The 350z up close had a horrid paint job as was mentioned... the black j series Infiniti next to the 350z was sweet. There also was a really nice old black Dodge Charger. Not much else was even worth mentioning. There were cars with primer/old coats of paint on the hood, people selling what I can only assume were beat up stolen used ghetto rice kits (er, I mean body kits) ... overall it was not at all impressive, to say the least.

Like dark evo stated, everyone has to start out somewhere and for a locally hosted event i think it was pretty damn good. Did you guys miss like the crap load of evos there and that dodge, OMG that was insane!!. The muscle cars were also nice. I saw a very nice z06( i think it was blue?) They also had a couple nsx's that came later in the day and a pretty clean supra with some nice dyno numbers to back it up. So everyone needs to chill the hell out this aint cali guys. The Colorado scene is just starting to develop so relax this is really the first big event anyway(created by local guys anyway) later, kevin.

Sorry you didn't enjoy the "free" show. Thanks for stealing your way in and then bitching about it. I bet you think you are cool on this site, huh? I bet you feel like a little rebel, always bashing things and criticizing people and the things they are doing. Well, maybe you are, but people like you take away from the things and the people who are rebelling against the system on a much larger scale than anything your puney little comments or petty thievery has ever come close to. We are not saying that we are better than anyone, but we will say that we are doing everything we can to make the scene better than anything Colorado has ever seen. There are laws that are wrong and things that need to be changed here and we are doing our part to fix these things. So keep slandering the cause and those of us that are trying to fix it, we don't mind.....just fuel to the fire.

I think thats the disconnect here, everyones scene is different. This site and others would rather go for a canyon drive, autoX or the track then pay to stand in a dusty parking lot full of "show" cars gawking... Its not worth you coming over here and yelling at us about it, that wont change a thing. And by the way, you got my five bucks (and about 30 more from colroadoep3.com members), so be glad we came and gave you our money, dont come hunting down the shit talkers of HAI and expect them to hear your view point. Or expect the same people to give you any props for that show.
