Well this has nothing to do with the ticket, but GET THIS: mom says since the gas prices will be really insanely high this summer, I HAVE TO SELL MY CIVIC!!!!  Guess what the FUCK I am getting in place of it? None other than this....a 1989 Geo Metro XFi......167,000 miles, 5 speed, NO A/C, NO NOTHING!!!! You all better start throwing some performance recommendations at me now because I am screwed.....fuck I am so angry right now!   :mad:

Time to move out man. Its not like your civic gets bad gas mileage. I ride my go-ped to work everyday to save on gas $.

Damn, sorry to hear that bro. The civic gets pretty good gas mileage. I couldnt imagine if you had an STI...hehehehe.

uhh....

depending on what your civic is and the mods have, you will probably just lose money in the long run. You should explain this to your mom. Also, the geo doesnt get much better milage than the civic, does it?

I see a skateboard in your future.

Time to get a job and pay for your own gas me thinks.

All it has is a short ram, and at 167K, i'm not gonna put my money on it getting better mileage than a 89K civic CX

Your mom is just bullshiting you. Tell her that not only does the Civic get similar gas mileage, that it's most likely a safer vehicle than the Geo. Then say, unless my life is only worth a few dollars more a month to you.....

Also get a job.

I think people need to take a step back and look at the big picture with gas prices... Most people would say that an increase of 10 cents per gallon is steep, but if you buy 10 gallons, that's only $1 extra. $1 is not a big deal... You can barely get a small drink at McDonalds for that. Even if you buy 100 gallons a month (which is a hell of a lot), that's only an extra $10 for the entire month. Don't get me wrong, I think the oil companies are dicking us around, but it's really not that bad. I'm much more upset with Xcel Energy and their bullshit.

Tell your parents that you will pay for your own gas, and then your problem is solved. Even if you make minimum wage, you only have to work about 4 hours to afford a tank of gas.

Also, parents are such - come to think of it, it pretty much DOES have to do with the ticket. ;)

should I had a 73 Super Beetle that should have got good gas milage, but it got about 12 mpg at the most. It was pretty ridiculous.

thats bullshit, gas prices arn't bad. Like weston said you have to buy a LOT of fucking gas to really see a difference. Its only a couple of dollars more a tank, no reason to sell a car over it. Do they pay for your gas or something? if so just get a job, they are fun if you just stay out of fast food :D

I think I had a fuel leak. Some people told me they were afraid to smoke around it.

I don't know what my 74 SB got - my speedo/odo never worked.

I can assure you it was not nearly as good as the 16G turboed GVR4 I bought to replace it, though. :)
