I want to get my Civic legal. It's going turbo soon and could make as much as 400 HP. I'd like a cat that won't be a bottleneck. I saw some here:

http://www.a-1performance.com/super_converter/super_converters.htm

These look like they support very large displacements. I'm guessing that large displacement=more flow capability, so something that supports a 7.5L at a V8-like RPM range might work for my boosted 1.755L at 9K+ RPM. Any input from someone less ignorant than myself on this would be appreciated.

What application is it originally for? What condition? How much?

99-00 civic coupe. It's in great condition, not sure on price yet... Hope to pull it off sometime this weekend or this coming week. Actually, come to think of it, it's a carsound cat.

Just go with a carsound cat. They flow nearly as well as a straight pipe and are relatively cheap to buy. I stock them, PM me if you want one.

We have 2.5" and 3" high-flow cats down at the shop (importsports performance). Come on down, we just got them in, and I'm unsure of the price right now.

rmcdaniels, I'll be pulling off the cat this weekend most likely, let me know if you still are interested in it. I originally got it from 00ITR#700 or whatever. I'll post some pics when I get it off too.

I'm still interested, let me know the part number when you get it off. It's no rush now, I just BS'd my way into new stickers for my tag even though I'm supposed to be on "emissions hold", so I've got a little time.

Is there any cat out there that'll perform without sounding like shit?

eh, I pulled it off today and discovered that the brick(s) are loose inside, so I'm not so sure you would want it now. If you're still interested I'll give it to you for $10.00, MAJORLY discounted. I was going to offer it up for $40.00 if it was good. I think I bought it just over a year ago for $60 and paid another $45.00 or so to have flanges welded on. Just be aware that you might get CEL 67 I believe occasionaly, which is cat efficiency. If you're still interested, I'll post a pic for ya, otherwise it's going in the trash compactor.

Thanks anyway, but I need one in good shape. I'd like to get no codes and pass emissions. I'll PM the guy who sells them.

I'm in North Carolina, but if you could ship it I'd be interested in a 93536.
