Damn..this game owns me...I just sat and played the multiplayer for a few hours and didnt even know I was playing that long. You MUST buy this game..it has like the speed and fun of quake..some team/objective based missions (more like tribes) and a few other game modes I havent tried yet. Its an AMAZING looking game..and the network code seems pretty solid.

Anyway, I have to decide if I'm going to finish playing the single player first, just play online..or maybe quit my job, and do both. I really havent been this excited about a game for a long time..its just awesome. Go get it..an HAI team would be fun! :)

The good things about this game

1) fast play
2) easy to get into
3) lots of good game types

The bad things about it

1) the hardware requirements can be a bit high
2) single player is very hard.. :)
3) its kinda buggy..but they already released a patch today, so most of them have been addressed.

i just went to the site and checked out the trailer, it looks promising but i am poor so probably wont get it until someone gives it to me. but I would like to play and think an HAI team would be cool, so i can kick your asses.

How's the multi-player on it...? Does everyone run around as the same guy? Give us some details... reminds me of BF1942 in a way that you can do more than just shoot someone, you can actually use some real tactics.

Mike, do you think I might be able to burn a copy or borrow it for a day to see how it runs on my PC? I meet the requirements, however I do have a cheapo video card (FX5600 256MB slow version) and I don't wanna spend $50 on the game if my video card can't handle it.

It looks awesome though. I guess I'll just have to make do with Pandora Tomorrow on XBox live. It is pretty cool too.

looks like a great game. looks like HLCounter Strike meets Halo + steroids. awesome! their editing tool looks fantastic. that would be a lot of fun to build custom maps etc with. i hope they get all the bugs worked out. looks like they have tons of problems with their mp but everyone is raving about the sp mode. physics engine and AI look real nice also! did you guys view the clip showing how they all die differently depending on where they get hit etc? bedlam was it really laggy online?

This game is one of the best I have played in a long time. Really detailed, if you kill someone at the edge of a cliff they will fall off and stuff. I only played it for a few minutes online because my mouse died but it didn't seem too laggy on an east coast server with 32 people.

I didnt suffer any lag...at all. My ping seemed a bit high compared to what I'm used to in quake..but I never noticed any network issues at all. :)

Yeah..I think we'll have to host a mini-lan at my store once a few more people show some intrest..I can get discounts on games that are published by MS...but thats all. :( We dont sell much software.

Hrmm..if its released for the PC...I got Halo for like $13..cant beat that. :) Forum and I just got done playing newbie beat down for the last few hours..I bet that game would really kick ass on a lan.

The original Rallisport was released for PC, I love that game.

But yea, Far Cry is great... I wish I could find a good server, but I need to get back into the habbit of FPS.

Damn, I just got passed the top of the carrier, that took some thinking !! Had to really prioritize who to kill first (helicopter first while hiding so you don't get shot by others, then the two guys mounted on machine guns, then just pick off the rest of the guys). Seems easy enough, but trial-and-error takes a long time, :rofl:. Luckily the next level is the demo level, so I already know the first 6 checkpoints.

BTW, I love this game engine! When I got to the raft, I accidently jumped OVER it. FAWK! Landed in the water, was ready to go through the whole fucking ship again. But, I used my brain! I grabbed out a gun that could zoom in, and I shot the rope that was holding it... boat dropped right in the water. How cool is that??? :)

Yeah...its pretty damn hard to land on it..did that a few times. You really need to think outside of the box a bit. The engine is pretty neat..reminds me a lof of the Doom 3 demos. Good stuff.

I have a 5950 Ultra and 3.6GHz p4...runs GREAT. :) However, we tried to install it on a athlon 3000+ at work, with a uber crappy FX5600..and it would hardly run. The settings are adjustable enuf that it will run on almost any remotely current hardware.

Runs great on my XP 2500+ @ XP 3200+ with the video card (GF FX 5600XT 256MB DDR). Granted details aren't all the way up, but I have AA on high and details on low/med... smooth for me.

I finally finished the single player..now I can just stomp around online...awesome game. Totally worth the time and money put into it. :)
