Car show

There will be a car show saturday April 3rd at Colorado School of Mines. It is put on by the Formula SAE team at CSM during our Edays celebration. Categories include import, domestic, classic, hotrods, and bikes. I believe it starts at noon, but I will have to include the time later.

The cost is $15 per car. This event is also a fundraiser for the Formula SAE team. The 2004 car should be on display and running minus the bodywork.

Please come show off your car and help support my team.

Sorry guys. It is $20 for non-students.. I thought it was $10 and $15.

It goes from 12 - 5, but you should get there between 11:30 and 12.

i don't know who has a beef with you, but I don't. Bring your car and your friends' cars. Come have a good time. I think there will also be games and cheap beer.

i don't think any previous CSM teams have ever run the car at autox. Hopefully we will be able to run it this year. Apparently SCCA has setup a new class that has almost the exact rules at our competition.

CU, CSU, and AFA also build cars for competition. Could have been one of theirs. I've seen pics of the Texas A&M car at an autox with last years car.

From what I have seen these events are fairly informal. I wouldn't be suprised if they let us reserve a few spots. Even the form doesn't really say that it is due today, but kind of implies they would like it by today. Probably just to get some initial numbers. I'm sure when Jason see's this he will have some more info.

I can't PM ya cause you got to much stuff in your PM section. Can you think of a good place w/ shade there in Golden to use as a detailing spot on the morning of the car show? Do you have a preferred place to do a little detailing? I'm up to detailing where you think will be a good place, just let me/us know so we can start organizing something.

All the more reason to do a good detail before hand. Once they see that water beading all over your ride in such a beautifull uniform way, they will be sure and vote you number one.

We never know what the weather is going to do! I have to travel 2 1/2 hours and I'm not letting it stop me from going ;).

Hopefully you can work something out so that we can get it. I've been posting the show at various clubs-mostly Dub related (safety in numbers :D)

Thanks to everyone that showed up. It was too bad the weather didn't cooperate so the turnout was low. Past few years there had be 60+ cars.

Yeah. the prizes were not that hot. And i apologize for the car not being on display either. We were in the process of fully welding all the tabs and we ran out of argon.

it's far from stock. Runs 13 sometime quarters. He's got some fuel computer, different rear end gears, and the exhaust was actually a dump tube. It dumps just before the right rear tire. You guys missed his burnout when he was leaving.

Then the gixxer 1000 did a huge burnout and the drag car briefly lit up his big ass slicks too.
