View Full Version : Computer in my car(pics inside)

Ok well I'm pretty much done with it so I may as well post the pics. I've been working on this off and on for the past month or so. It's pretty much complete and working good.
I used a microatx motherboard with onboard just about everything, celeron 2.4, 7" lcd with a touchscreen. Lots of assorted wires(it was a nightmare). But in the end the results are awesome, I'm glad I spent the time and money. I've got about $1400 worth of parts into the entire setup now as well as about 25 hours of messing with stuff.
I'll try to take a few pictures of everything inside the car tomorrow with some light, Can't see shit right now.

Edit, a list of features might help:
Right now it does Gps Navigation, Mp3s, Dvds, divx, and wireless networking. Hopefully within a month I'll have an fm tuner(why not). But other than that I don't think there is much I want to add.

It's cool watching movies in the morning before work. Now we just need to get you some dark ass tint to aid in the glare reduction. Good work though, you definitley have patience.

He stole the idea from me..and enhanced it quite a bit on his own. I think you'll see a lot more of this sort of thing in the future..maybe not this exact implimentation..but something like it...so much more functional than a plain cd player or navigation system. :)
