So i go to the doctor yesterday because ive been feeling pretty shitty, im pretty sure i have strep throat. Like most things i researched it on the net and looked up the symptoms, and i have all of them. I go to the doctor and they tell me, "well were not sure what you have, but if the symptoms get worse come back ." So, im thinking, wtf, and say, "so you dont think its strep? because i have spots in the back of my throat." She tells me she didnt see any even though I did. the only comment my stupid ass doctor has to say was about the hiccy on my neck. i dont want to talk about my sex life, i want to know why i cant eat my burritos without spitting them back up all over my roomates laundry (that was pretty cool though). I wake up today and i cant even drink water or open my mouth and its so gross, my tonsels are covered with spots. Oh man if my lose my tonsels im going to be so pissed. . I think that it is due to the fever but im starting to hear things, this morning i woke up and heard a loud, continuos, high pitched beeping noise that lasted for 15 minutes, i couldnt hear anything and my roomate said he didnt know what i was talking about. someone tell me what i have! strep, virus, mono?!? i cant remember the last time ive felt so shitty. I blame leo, he must have brought over some exotic disease from the motherland to kill all of us capitalist pigs with.

Hey bro sorry to ear that, Strep sucks. You can get like a seven pill package for it. You take one pill a day and by like the 3rd day it doesn't hurt anymore but you still gotta take them to the end or it might come back. I'm not sure if you have to get that package through your doc though. Hope you feel better man.

Docs don't like to treat strep unless it's real bad because all the antibiotics are slowly but surely not working anymore. Everything is becoming immune. The more they use them the worse it gets until we're going to have to start amputating for small infections because nothing else will fix them.

She probably just didn't want to tell you that she doesn't think it warrants treatment.

oh, it's name was Inhalipt, or something like that. combined from words eucaliptus and inhale. it also had some antibiotic, i think streptocid (spelling?). and you basically had to spray it into your throat, and that made you feel good.

Mono is a viral disease, and if you're seeing spots on the back of your throat, tonsils, etc; I highly doubt you have a case of the "kissing disease." More than likely it's a moderate to severe infection incubated by one or more of the following: insomnia, dehydration, or lack of nutrition.

You're experiencing usual symptoms I.E. projectile vomiting, fever, chills, bodyaches, loss of appetite, etc.

If anything your doctor should be administering some kind of amoxicillin or penicllin trihydride.
