02' Honda RC51 For Sale

I have an RC51 that I bought brand new in December of 02' with 3 miles on it so I really look at it as being a 03'. I had it 10 months and put about 2500 miles on it. Until last October I was doing a highchair wheelie and backflipped it at 71mph. The bike landed on the right side and only dented the right crankcase, broke the right fairing and dented the front wheel. I have a friend who's been into fixing motorcycles for about 20 years now who's fixing it for me. I got my civic back and put that H22 into it and I just want to get into the Import scene stronger than ever and that will require my full attention and all of my money. I loved the bike and babied it more than anything. I am not going to fix it up to new again just replace the crankcase refill with oil, and replace the wheel. That way it will be in great running order again and the buyer will have to fix up the body a bit. There is a cheap racing fairing kit on www.sharkskinz.com and another on www.hotbodiesracing.com

I am looking just to get rid of it at a reasonable price. The NADA lowest retail price is 5,970.00 and that is for excessive wear and tear, excessive body damage, but in running condition. This is where the bike will be when it is ready to be picked up. Minus the wear and tear. like I said I babied it till I flipped. (Damn Wyoming wind) I don't have a set price so the first reasonable offer I recieve, will be the one I will go on.

Anyone who is interested in a project bike, a new bike, or a balls out fast as shit bike, this is for you. Please PM me or post a reply with your offers and I will work with you on the price if I feel you are really serious about the bike. I will have pics up shortly so you can see the damage to the right side.

The bike has 1000cc, 0-60 is 2.6 sec. 430lbs. Very big bike. Also has D and D chrome aftermarket dual exhaust and new ion headlights. I have a red, white, and black Joe Rocket leather jacket and Helmet that I will throw in also.

Hell yeah. Very clean super bike. I don't want to lose it either I just might kill myself the way I was developing my stunt riding. Too fun to just ride from point A to point B you know? Thanks for letting your buddies know.

yeah, Be a good project. rear tail would be a definete problem if it is jacked up, we did a 2002 conversion on my brothers 99 R1 and it was like $800 just for the parts and $200 for paint.

5,700 isn't my quote its the lowest blue book quote. The bike is not that messed up at all. I just got mad after I crashed and ripped the right fairing off so it looks worse thatn it is. The front and rear fairings would need to be replaced though if you want it to be real clean. The sub-frame got off centered a bit but the main bike frame is not bent or twisted though I had the dealership check to make sure. The sub-frame is like 327.00.

Don't try and feed me all this BS. I've been working on bikes for quite a while now and would know what they'd need and what they wouldn't. It don't matter if the dealer or insurance company would total it, THIS ISN'T EITHER ONE. If you want something that cheap, go to an auction and buy a POS whatever and build it.
