i have a bud trying to sell me his te37 rims but i cant tell if there real...how can you tell? he doesnt have the volk racing decal on them... what other trade mark is there on them?

If he is your friend would he really try to pass of fakes as real? Check the weights, and if they are too heavy you know they are fake.

he is not really my buddy... but ill try to see how much they weight...17 weight about how much for te? 12? right?

The fakes are all heavy, if it is more than 17 lbs (not sure of the real weight) you know its fake.

I don't know the width you are getting, but 17x7.5 weight 15 lbs.

The back side of the rim should have a "rays" stamp on it or a "vr" stamp.

They will also have a series of stickers on the inside.

We have two cars with TE's and are pretty familiar with the "real thing".
