We want to thank you all so far for all your intrest in participating in what we hope will be the largest car cruise Colorado has ever seen. Finally, we can share the start point.

The Start Point is going to be at the I-25 and 120th ave Park n Ride. We will be meeting there at 4:00pm and leaving by 4:30pm. Do not forget that it is requested of everyone who goes that you bring at least one non-perishable food item as we will be donating it all to charity.

All drivers are REQUIRED to have their drivers license, auto registeration and insurance with them at all times. The Colorado State Patrol will be monitoring the cruise to help weed out those of you that want to act like a child.

The Westimnster Police Dept. has been notified of our start point, so it is HIGHLY recommended that at the Park n Ride you be mature.
Due to the forcast of snow, the cruise is going to be moved to next weekend, Sunday March 7th. Same time, same meeting point, same route.

We hope that you all can still make it next week and apoligize to those of you who went though hell to get this sunday off. I know how you feel, as we have been plotting, planning, stressing and working on this as well as our car show and another MASSIVE project everyday for the last month and a half. I want to pull my own head off before it explodes. God has a sick sense of humor....

Anyway, this extra time give ALL of us a chance to tell even more people about the cruise. We need all that we can get. I read a pessimistic post on one of the boards that said maybe 200-250 cars will participate. Maybe.....maybe not.

While we are riding under the safty blanket of the State Patrol, they WILL NOT bust us for or "equipment" on our cars....ie; window tint, lights, exaust...etc.
HOWEVER, they will bust anyone caught squealing tires, speeding, etc.

ALL DRIVERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, if I could get all the founders, presidents, leaders, etc. of all the clubs who will be representing out there to e-mail admin@dark-evolution.com, or PM me of sign this post with a contact email addy and let us know how many cars everyone's crew is expecting and the names of all the crew's, I would appriciate it.

If it rains or snows, the cruise will be the following sunday.

looks like they still had this cruise today. i've saw like 40-50 cars in file going SB I-25 around 5pm. it was sorta impressive, i passed the whole group. nice thing is that at the head of procession there were like 3 or 4 accords ;)

yah i guess those that went didnt know it was postponed. Well as far as i know(and this is coming from from the host of this event) its still going to be next weekend same time, same place. I know my buddy was really itching to get out there this sunday as he just recently finished his wide body civic. I hope everyone that went will realize that it was cancelled and go this sunday. If 50 cars showed up and it was cancelled imagine what it will be like this sunday!!! I know of at least 50(rough estimate) cars going in my close circle. Oh BTW how did the biggest meet in CO go? I went, saw nothing really interesting except a few stupid acts of teenagers and some retards revving thier enignes. Almost got killed by a street race on the way in.

After that I decided to leave it at that and go to a meet with good friends, food and a few nice cars. Had a great time anyway.

We frequently get inexperienced kids who think that they are going to "show us how to drive" and win because of their car and it's mods. Well, they tend to leave very upset because they finished last in their class, a good 10+ seconds away from a respectable position.

The next road course event is May 9th at Second Creek, but it's not open to everyone. You'd have to be an SCCA member, have participated in at least 4 autocrosses (but you really want more experience than that), and it looks like they will also have a driver's school that may be mandatory (to educate people about the new format this year).

I may also go out to Second Creek for a Test & Tune before that, but I haven't picked a date yet...

thats cool. test and tune @ second creek, is that like bandi where everone shows up and races? or just a few people.

im not looking to get in to any events yet. im mostly looking for time on the road course to see what its like and get a good feel for my car.

the cones look like they would be very easy to get lost in.

Autocross is a little intimidating at first, but it's not as easy to get lost as you would think. You can walk the course several times at the beginning of the day, you'll get a course map, and it's really not that hard to find your way if you just remember to look further ahead as you're driving it.

A Second Creek Test & Tune is pretty simple and not really organized... You just show up and pay $60, then you can get on or off the track as you please. There usually aren't many people out there. If there's a bunch, then they'll organize it and have different run groups. But a road course really isn't a great place to start out... it's high speed and not very forgiving if you screw up. Autocrosses are a great place to learn the lines and car control skills that you'll need out there.
