I'm talking to a customer right now and she got some home hijacking spyware and we ran ad aware and found 245 peiecs of spyware. the stupid homepage is still getting hijacked though. she has a ton of porn dialers though. god i hate this.

It's a fun little game! My routine: running Adaware, restart, run Adaware, change homepage, run Adaware, restart, run Adaware... attempt to open IE and have it be safe -- NOPE, run Adaware... it's a never ending circle, usually I find a loophole and do get it fixed though. :)

I find its usually easier to avoid getting spyware to begin with, but adaware does a great job of removing it in the rare instance I let it get there to begin with. :)

try getting a program called Spy Sweeper. That one works pretty good

I feel for you. That's why I run unix 90% of the time, and run Adaware & Pest Patrol on the wife / kids windows box.
