Noob in the House

hey im the new noob in the house. just wanted to say hey to everyone. i drive a black '96 Eclipse RS. NO real mods done yet. I bought it with some slight mods (CPU upgrade) and a K&N filter. Only other thing done is the stereo wich is fairly decent. I have tons of dreams and plans for her so hopefully ill some helpful dsm'ers here will have some advice for me. from the look of the forums ive read so far you HAI guys & gals are pretty well informed and im looking forward havin some locals to talk to. any recommended threads for me to read thru-and-thru on here?

Welcome to HAI. If you're looking to boost it, I think most of the dsm owners will tell you to ditch the n/a motor.

sh*t i dont even know where to start. i got tapped in a snowstorm by some douchebag with a 3" pipe bumper right on my driver fender and now im leaking oil and trany fluid. i havent gotten it fixed b.c. i want to paint the whole car at once and their cheap ass insurance was only going to fix the obvious cosmetic damage. ill probably drive it looking like poo for a while and get under the hood first. i guess it comes down to
1. start everywhere else i can like suspension etc then go to exhaust engine trany turbo etc after that
2. scrap the car and get some poor ricers blown car with a good body and build her up from there.
3. buy mods i can put on a new engine trany and drive this one till its death.

or listen to the guys with xp and join the HAI guru's : ) for some advice sessions
