My buddy got pulled over for his stock 00 Si tails. He even pointed out "OEM HONDA" or whatever they say on them and the cop just got all pissed and let him off with a warning.

A guy got a ticket for the stock wing on an EVO. He told the cop that it was stock, and the cop replied that Mitsubishi would have to take that up with the state of New York. Then someone else rightly pointed out that car manufactures must pass Fedral laws, and states can't have laws that are stricter than Fedral. Although I just now realized that California has strickter laws than most states, but at the same time I realized that you can't even buy certain models of cars in Cali for just that reason. So it would be okay to assume that if NY state law really prohibited a wing like that, they'd only be able to sell EVO 8 RS's which we all know isn't true.

I'm not disputing that stubydoobydoo, but if I were to buy an evo, I sure as hell wouldn't get it with that $800 dollar ugly as wing.

Any other things you can get pulled over for that come stock with the car? Not exactly just the Evo but any other car?

well the evo8 wing is an option, not standard.

It wasnt an "option" on the first batch of E8's to come into the US. You got the big wing, or you didnt get an evo, simple as that. They only shipped like 300 to North America without a wing..regardless of how its listed on the invoice. I suppose you could say having glass in the windows is an option too.. :)
