Your car's still new. Why are you wanting to wax it already?

Use Zaino. I'ts more expensive, but well worth it.

Is't your car brand new? I wouldn't even think of waxing it for at least 6 months. If memory serves correctly, it actually harms the clearcoat if you wax new paint.

P21S Makes some very good old wax remover and wax. Actually there whole system is very good, I especially like the wheel cleaner. I'll let you try some of my shit out sometime when the weathers better.

Hmm.... what product on blue... well I've done this

I think that looks pretty damn good. Even on a crappy Honda paint job. What did I use?

That is a strong sealent. Unlike the polymers that are popular today, this one is acrylic. It gives that candied shine that looks great on blue. Of course you could even improve this look even more by throwing on a good topper, like Pinnacle Souveran, NXT, or P21s.

Of course, you can use just about any product and get good results. The products are meant to make your car look good, so the ones mentioned above will do so. The real question you should be asking is HOW do you apply that product. It's the technique that gives the real shine.

He's always talking about doing that..you guys just need to get on the boat! :)

However..I think a little Zymol would be good for the Z...and its DrJones favorite wax! (I cant believe he hasnt mentioned it yet)

I'd rather wax my car with sand paper than Zymol

If the weather is good I'm going to be detailing on the 21st. I already have 2 cars lined up, but anyone is more than welecome to come and learn/watch. When the weather get's a little nicer I'll organize another HAI detail day. Where everyone comes and brings there cars and we all learn while doing a few of them.

I'm not sure where the HAI detail day will be held yet. Somewhere with lots of space hopefully.

The order in which you used your products is correct. But it's hard to give any advice without knowing what products you used, and how you used them. The only real thing that I would change, is the cleaner wax. A lot of the time that stuff is crap. It's meant to be a one step product for people who want easy results. It doesn't really fit anywhere in a multiproduct series. The polish you put on after the wax probably got rid of most of it anyway. Depending on what polish/glaze you used, you might not have to use both. Some glazes do a great job hiding what polishes try to fix, and some polishes leave behind a shine that glazes can't touch. My typicall process is as follows:

Wash with dawn, clay (Autopia Clay), wash again, heavy abrasive (if needed) (ie Meguiars Dual Action Cleaner Polish), lighter abrasive (ie polish) (Klasse All in One), synthetic sealent (few coats) (ie Klasse Sealent Glaze), natural wax (few coats if time permits) (ie P21S).

i use mothers clay bar and the cleaner wax that came with it, then meguairs show car glaze #7, then i switch between megauirs carnuba wax, zymol, or rain x wax. im gonna try out the s100 wax in the summer.
