got a new computer FINNALY!!

today i bought a new computer ( well pieces) and just finished putting everything together. Since im a poor college student i had to keep it reasonably priced and yet make it fast enough to run the newer games. I purchased an athlon xp 2600+, shuttle motherboard, 512 mb 400 ram. The rest i scrounged off of my old computer. In the end i got away with spending under 300 for something that makes me happy. Sure beats my old PII 400.

Congrats on the new box. I went from a p2 400 to an xp2800. Nice jump in performance, games like mad, and linux loves it.

And still overpriced. I got my XP 2500+, Abit NF7 for just under $170. I got better parts (This motherboard owns any Shuttle out there), newer chip, and then I can add on a gig of RAM for that much. ;) God I love NewEgg.
