Tobi, what do you think caused 5 of my glow plugs to take a crap?

So the master cylinder died on my truck yesterday and we had to have it towed to ford. Anyway they were checking the truck over and found that 5 of the glow plugs are bad, and the water pump is leaking. Am I correct in saying these trucks has a 100k powertrain warranty?

But water pump leaks are common. Did you ever run it low(out) on fuel? Water in the fuel maybe? Was it the master cylinder or hydra-boost that died?

Those are all common failures. I Ricewizard will know more about the warranty.
My water pump was bad when I bought the truck, and yes glow plugs go bad from time to time, thats part of the joy of owning a diesel.

glow plug failure is normal. everytime you turn the key they come on ,now think about how many time that heating element that lives inside a combustion chamber got hot and cold ie: shit pile
anyways the powertrain warranty is 100.00 deductable and is 100,000 miles and five years from the build date, your ford dealers will have this info on the oasis printout ask for it.
how much did they charge you for the 5 glow plugs ? did they put a new glow plug relay on also?

I get it back tomorrow and everything was covered under warranty. I will look at what all that costs when I pick it up.

it was just kinda weird that they all went bad close the the same time as one another. It hasnt been hard starting at all or anythign weird like that. I did expect for the master cylinder to take a shit soon with all the towing I have done with it.

yeah but a Ford that tows over 12,000 pounds all day. So some things are bound to happen to it.

when the master cylinder went it scared the shit out of me. I was coming down a hill with my trailer with the bobcat on it. I pushed them and they went straight to the floor and I didnt stop, well until the trailer brakes grabbed me. Needless to say I was worried for a second.

its kinda like a series circuit when one goes out the extra voltage goes to the next and so on, so as soon as one goes out the rest or not very far away. kinda weird they only replaced five , they should have replaced all of them, they were right there.
