Thanks for the compliments guys, I appreciate it,
I am not affiliated with meguiars in any way, I am just a detailing enthusiast.
Here is a pic of some of my supplies, yes I am sick

Last I saw he only had about half that. mostly because he goes through the stuff so fast. He's also got a mountain of microfiber towels

HOLY SHIZZBALLS! I don't know much about detailing but that looks like a lot of stuff.
That's sick & wrong. I have one old bottle of liquid wax and one old bottle of leather conditioner - neither of them which ever get used. :)

who cares how much stuff you have... I'm sure paul can get the same results with 1/4 of that stuff...

I can't see the pic so I can't say for sure. I can say however that I have some of just about every major product out there, or did at some time. I hardly ever finish off a bottle of something (end up finding something new to try before getting to use it all). Due to that I've given away what I've had left of various things.
I will say that I have spent enough on detailing suplies to buy a turbo kit and maybe intercooler for my civic. (that includes products, buffers, pads, towels, and everything else)
It's not the volume of product, but the variety. I can't think of a major product I haven't tried.
Speaking of which... I need to place my order for Megs new NXT wax. Anyone want to be my guini pig to try it out?

Sure..if you want to try something on the del Slow..its pretty hard to make that car look good..but the paint is thirsty I'm sure.

Ok I got a chance to see the pic. Most of the stuff I can recognize. Most of it I've tried at some point. The big gallon jugs in the front are professional line products, those usually aren't as good as the stuff marketed towards the car enthusiasts, so naturally I don't have most of them (but do have some from another Line that a friend in NY sent me).
Really that collection is large, but not all that high quality. There is a LOT of stuff that you'd find at checker, and I would generally consider it to be not all that great. I'll admit that I own many of the things there, but I don't use them. There are much better options.
He does have some really nice stuff in there though. The black bottle near the right with the white label that says EX is a good wax. It's currently on my car. He also has the meguiars diamond cut and dual action cleaner polish bottles, which are currently my abrasives of choice with my rotary buffer.

i think all those chemicals is totally unnesassary you can do a good if not better job with half that shit
Why would you be able to do a better job with half the product? That doesn't make sense.

I'm sure that guy doesn't use even 1/8 of that shit when he details.

if he were to use all that shit he would be detail the same car for days and days 90 percent of that can be eliminated and he would get the same results

It depends on what you are looking at, but a lot of products today have similiar purposes, but are actually quite different. There are any number of features a product can have. I tend to have lots of different things just for this reason. There is no product that will be the best in every situation. There are so many factors involved from what kind of condition the paint is in, to what the needs and expectations of the owner are. All of those must be considered. My goal is to use the best product that I can that will fit the job, for that reason a good variety is very necessary.

Dr. Jones, where do you get your good waxes and other products from?Depends exactly what I'm trying to get. But here are the places I buy from the most:
www.detailersparadise.com (http://www.detailersparadise.com/) (owned by a local guy, check out p21s & klasse)
www.properautocare.com (http://www.properautocare.com/) (one of the first places that had good stuff, huge variety, check out Blackfire and pinnacle)
www.autopia-carcare.com/ (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/) (owned by a good friend, he started the biggest and best detailing forum on the net. He has some top quality products)
www.zainobros.com (http://www.zainobros.com/) (Zaino)
www.pakshak.com/left.html (http://www.pakshak.com/left.html) (Microfiber products)
http://www.topoftheline.com/ (good buffing pads)
Those are the main places. There are very few things you can find at places like Checker. Paint supply stores often stock a lot of Meguiars products.
