I am very confused after reading a few of everyones posts. I run Windows and always have, to be honest I only knew of Windows and Linux, but didn't know Linux was it's own O/S until today. Will someone please enlighten me on the other O/S out there, and the advadtages/disadvantages they have.

So, what is Unix?
If I remember correctly, UNIX is one of the oldest forms of command line O/S out there.
I'm thinking about learning to use Linux in networking apps as well. Anyone have good suggestions as to where to start?

Windows sucks. Unix owns. 'Nuff said.
All operating systems suck, unix just sucks less...
