This is pretty gross when you actually do it but has anyone had their ears candled? My friend is all into that kind of stuff and we did it to my ears. Here a few days later I feel really good and my hearing is much improved. You'd be suprised what comes out of your head :) The vacuum created by the candle draws wax and all kinds of junk out of your ears.

Yeah I've heard about this for several years and my friend said she's been doing it in her family forever. She makes her own candles for about 10 cents each. I know they can be purchased, but I have no clue how much they go for or where.

hehe we sell them at vitamin cottage where i work, you can get the a 3 pack for like 4 bucks, or individual for 1.99. Ive never done it but everyone that buys them says they work realy well. They always tell me it helps with their sinuses and hearing and headaches and so on. I may have to try it too.....

I have done it, I shit you not, there will be about 1 1/2" of wax that solidifies in the candle looks like your pinkie.
nasty shit, but works great

Where can I get it done at? Or is it easy to do it yourself?

I'm picturing you sticking birthday candles in your ears and lighting them... is that what you do?

You can do it yourself, it's pretty easy, someone has to be there to light the candles ofcourse.
You literally lay there with a big old flaming hollow candle sticking out your ear. :)

Does it hurt at all? Feel weird? Sounds like a good idea to me. :)

I've done that many times, i do it about once every 6 months or whenever my parents get it, it actually really gets a lot of wax that there is no way you could get with a q-tip, What i heard is it melts the wax and sucks it the cone. All you do is stick it in your ear, light the other end on fire and lay down on the other side...

I don't think it hurts, might feel funny.
My parents started doing it and had me do it the other day. In fact, I got earwax candles in my stocking for Christmas.
Anyway:
NO, it doesn't hurt.
It takes about a few minutes for each ear.
You can hear a little bit of a sucking sound.
I personally didn't notice a difference in my hearing, but have heard plenty of stories.
It looks like there is a lot more wax then there actually is I think. I think the light brown stuff is ash from the candle, and the dark stuff is the actual wax, but it's definitely enough to be pretty gross. Have fun. :)

That leads me to believe that maybe we are supposed to have wax in our ears, seeing as how it serves a purpose, rather than just accumulating there for no reason...
As a control, burn one ear candle by itself, without putting it in an ear, and cut it in half. You will see that some was comes from the candle - it is generally light in colour. The wax from your ear is more brown in colour.
See? I told you so.

If all it does is create a vacuum to suck the wax out, why doesn't someone just make an ear vacuum? Seems a little less silly than sticking flaming candles in your ear...
What I do, is unhook my boost guage while I'm driving, stick the vacuum tube in my ear, get up to about 50 mph in second gear, then let off the gas until I'm going 20 again. I do this about 100 times in a row, (50 for each ear) the results are amazing.

Because that would likely be too strong for your ear and damage it. I bet if anyone does though, it will most certainly be Igia; and it will also certainly be worthless, like their other products.
