'04 Lexus ES 330 vs. '04 Acura TL

Just curious, Which one would you choose, both fully loaded with virtually every option available?

My Dad was having this dilemma last week and chose the Lexus. He said dollar for dollar the Lexus had a very slight edge. And the kicker was the fact that after driving each one for over an hour he got out of the Lexus feeling refreshed but got out of the Acura feeling stiff and not comfy and refreshed.

Personally, I like the looks and the sportiness of the 04 TL. Plus, 270 HP doesn't hurt... but your dad probably has other priorities. Both are nice luxury cars.

yea both are nice cars, if it was up to me I would go with the least popular one, if it was almost dead even in all the comparisons, I love cars you dont see everyday...

TL's are awesome, doesn't hurt they have blue tooth, and DVD audio also.

I'd go with the Lexus 330 with the Mark Levinson DVD navigation. Fawking sweet... not that quick and not that great looking on the outside, but very sexy and well designed on the inside... the seats are cushy and very refreshing indeed.

i concur, anyone who thinks the acura lineup especially the new 04 models isnt luxary doesnt know what lux is i guess.

i havnt been in the lex but i used to own a 2001 TL and now the 2004 is totally badass compared to my old one.

my TSX is very similar to the tl only a little smaller, a little slower and doesnt have bluetooth, but i took care of that part in my car.

I guess I would go with the lex. The tl seems to lean more towards sportiness rather than luxury, even though its pretty luxurious.

It's just that Acura doesn't seem to advertise their luxury line-up anymore. Luxury cars are a market that will never die and I think that Acura could be a lot more popular then they already are. For instance, what are they doing with the RL 3.5? I haven't even seen one of those cars for over a year now. Isn't that their top dog?
