Leap Day Car Cruise

[dark evolution]

Dark Evolution, Kaotic Impulse and Driving Dynamics are organizing a car cruise for Sunday, Feburary the 29th.

The goal is to have the largest legal cruise through Denver that this state has ever seen on a night the world rarely has.

More details coming soon as for the starting point. On the night of the cruise, all drivers will be given a map of the cruise route and regrouping points along the way.

Bring Video and digital cameras as we will be collecting pics and vids for a DVD that will be hopefully avalible at our March 21st car show....(details coming soon).

We hope that all who read this tell everyone they know that all cars, motorcycles and trucks are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Also all car clubs are encouraged to represent as we are the organizied representation of import/domestic tuning for the State of Colorado.

Let us show the people of Colorado that we are out there....

Ok, so let me elaborate.....I don't even know where to start after reading all of these posts. What's with all the "ricer" bashings? Imports aren't the problem, domestics aren't the problem....people are the problem. "The person is smart, but people are dumb." Too true. We are aware of this fact, and I know that this cruise is going to put alot of people onto public roads, but did anybody ever stop to think that if we could pull this off without any, (or too many) problems, maybe, just maybe the cops would get off our shit. They are looking for us to screw up, (or sometimes they make something up), but we are going to be shoving our hobby of auto tuning down the rest of the State's throats, so if we can all be mature about what we are doing and get along, we will be successful. There was a cruise the other night that started at Red and Jerry's that involved about 30 to 50 cars. The line stretched down the highway so damn far it was unreal. We can do it again and do it bigger.

So more or less, don't be a fuck-up because that's what the cops want. Think how mad they'd be if they couldn't bust us for anything that night.

First of all, let's not turn this into an us vs. the cops thing. How about we avoid certain problem areas, don't try to commit vehicular manslaughter, and then maybe they wont bother us about the petty crap... In other words, let's stay the hell away from Westminster (probably Aurora too), don't attract extra attention (burnouts, revving, blocking off intersections), and don't drive recklessly. Driving fast or screwing around a little is one thing, but showing intentional disregard for the safety of others is a going to get the cops called. Hell, I'll call them myself! I realise that the blocking off of intersections is for safety so that no one will be tempted to run a red light or drive recklessly to catch up, but it's also a guaranteed way to piss off people, especially the cops.

BTW, the term "ricer" isn't an import or domestic thing. It usually means people who have little to no taste when decorating their cars, but in this case we are talking about the F&F-wannabe type that have a severe attitude problem, no respect for the lives or property of others, and they like to show off.

Ok....I am not trying to make it an us vs them thing, it just is. It doesn't have to be a bad thing. We are mature enough to handle this. If you don't think you are, don't go. And about people going 40 over on the last cruise, some people did. It happens. That tends to happen from the work we do to our cars. But, again, I have read alot of negative posts about this cruise and complaints about the last cruise, but we had 0 cops last time and we stretched all over Denver, Aurora and such. Bottom line, we are going to make Colorado history, so if you want to be apart of it....go. If not stay home and off the road, cause we'll need the room.
