Need help promoting site

I need help with promoting my web site. anyone got any ideas? i registered with a buch of search engines but not sure on how to get my rank up so the site apears higher in the listings. any suggestions?

Takes a LONG time. I've been running this place for about 5 years now to get to its current size. I do however have newer larger sites, os it doesn't necessarially nake a super long time. I'll try to post some tips for you here shortly.

It defintaly will take time. First start off with people you know of the same interest and as far as the site check out this for advise on drawing traffic. www.searchenginewatch.com

I currently just started a forum for sports and it has been growing at a good rate.
