If you went to some of the vendor's websites, they'll recommend what's best for your application.

If it is turbocharged then dont use a lightweight flywheel. cuz u lose power with a light weight flywheel. i would use a six puck ACT clutch with an extreme pressure plate.

doesnt the six puck have chatter? also, which act clutch (heavy duty, extreme) with fidanza flywheel?

From what I have read, if you focus on drag racing, you want a heavier(stock) flywheel--it takes more to get it going, but less HP to keep it spinning.
As for Autocross applications, the lightened Flywheel is preferred because the engine RPMs vary so much, that you want quicker response.
and I believe everything I read. . . :gapteeth:

thats right, with a lightened flywheel you "COULD" fall outta boost/vtec. it takes less to get it spinnin but it slowes down faster too.
as for the clutch.. Action Clutch Tech.
also how much torque are you plannin on, this is a big factor in which clutch to buy, too

Okay my cluthc is going out and i was wondering what you guys got charged.. I curently have an RPS 6 puck.... I won't settle for anything that isn't the best.. gimme info.. I am not at all interested in flywheels but i need to know just a general idea of how much i'm lookin at for a clutch install(parts and labor)... word.. thanks...

You might want to do some more reading - lightened flywheels hurting your 1/4 times is a myth IMO. It will take higher rpms to launch effectively with a lightweight fly, but otherwise it helps across the board.
Launching with a lightened flywheel can certainly be more difficult to master, esp. with a turbo car, but that's not the same thing as saying "you want a heavier flywheel for 1/4 mile performance."

You have to consider load as well though; since load is an important part of turbochargers. That's why they say that. With a heavier flywheel you can build more boost from idle.

so you think that a stock flywheel will work...with about 350lbs of torque? what do you think about the maxx xtreme clutch from act? would you be able to get a good deal on that? or how about a regular xtreme clutch from act? what do you think about the fidanza flywheels?...prices please?

you want 350 ft lbs and 400 hp on a b series :smashfrea
i think the hp is simple, i doubt you will get that torque with the hp though.
good luck
