I need space to host high resolution photos that I can access easily. I have looked at picture hosting sites but their prices are through the roof and dohn't offer the full resolution outside linking that I want.

I want to be able to upload pictures to a host then be able to link the full resolution photos to different sites and what not. I am not looking to make a gallery or start a website. aRe there any programs that I would need?

Oh yeah I want to be able to upload other stuff too like, videos, mp3's, and that sort of stuff.

I think they're still doing their free offer, but you'll have to sign up real soon.

Before I posted this I was looking around for web hosting and found this (http://www.ehostsource.com/standard.htm), it seems like a pretty good deal.

Whoa... 50GB/mo for $5.75/mo. That's fucking awesome. With 1by1, I'm getting free hosting but only 5GB/mo and $0.99/GB for everything over that... I'm probably going to end up paying more than $5.75 for that because of all the bandwidth I use.

Hosting on your own server = the way to go. :) I wouldn't want it any other way...

Yeah, but finding a broadband ISP that will allow it for a reasonable price is another story. And it would eat up all of my post-whoring bandwidth.

I was reading the Terms of Service from that previously posted site. Max of 5mb size sucks...........and no music.

Glutting of servers
Oversized storage of any files that would be unreasonably large: ie. having hundreds of JPGS (such as fan or celebrity sites, photo galleries, cartoon or Japanese anim) are not allowed. There can be no applications stored in your web space, including but not limited to files with .exe extensions. Also, files typically used to store compressed data are not allowed. This is including but not limited to zip files. You may also not have any single file that is over 25 megabytes in size.

Music Files
Customer may not with out permission have sound/video files in any format (MP3, ASX, ASF, RA, RAM , QTV etc.) due to the high rate of illegal transfer of copy written material. Even with permission, there is a 5 file maximum on all audio and video files and each file must be smaller than 5 MB due to the demands they place on the server.

Like I said I can probably help out. I have 600GB of bandwidth per month and I only use around 100 for the sites all together.
