well i have 2 strut rod bushings that are out and it's screwing up my alignment. so i was wondering if tie rods, tension rods, etc. just the same as a strut rod. just different name and all. if it is then i'll probably just go with a higher performance "tie or tension" rod rather than a factory strut rod. It's a 95 Nissan 240SX btw.
-thanks

I dunno what a strut rod is... but a tie-rod adjusts the toe on my car - so I can point the wheel in or out.

Can you explain to me what a strut rod is? I have never even heard of one of those. Are you talking about your Tension Control rods in the 240sx? Tie rods are completely differnt from tension control rods. How did you come to the conclusion that your strut rods are blown? TC rods are the only part you mentioned that have bushings in them.

1st pic:
It's not really the actual rod that is blown. its the bushing as you see it's ripped.
2nd pic:
Its this thing that i was told it was called a strut rod. so what i meant was there a different name besides 'strut rod' for it.
i hope that helps

I forgot the "proper" name for that. Hmm it's on the tip of my tongue.

That's definately a tension control rod. You can get new poly bushings at pdm-racing.com for like 50 bucks. You just need a 3ton press to press them in.
