Hey Tobi,
Lately it seems the vtec on the S hasnt been kicking in, or not as hard.... its at full operation temps and runs all the way to red line just dont feel the extra pull at 6.5. Is there any way to tell if its really kicking in or not? or if there is somthing wrong with it... do you know of any known issues with the vtec on the S?
as always thanks for your help

If its not working the ECU will throw a CEL. Ive had a few guys complaining of issues in the winter time on warm days. It is usually due to our shitty pump gas here in the winter. Also, does your car fall intot he spark plug recall? if so you may be having issues with that.

just changed the plugs so I dont think that is the problem... not sure if i like the new plugs or not... but I seemed to be having the problem before I changed the plugs ... thats the reason I changed em.... have you ever ran champion coper plus plugs..... I am not usually a fan of them but there was a guy on S2KI that has tried the platinums and the titaniaums and pretty much all the other plugs avalible and he said he had best results out of the champion coppers.

Check the oil level.
I am using Denso Iridium and i could tell a difference when i switched over.

I wouldnt use a champion plug to stop a door. I also use Denso in everything I own. (except my truck)
If your oil level is dangerously low it may not have enough pressure to engage the VTEC.

Champions are the shittiest plugs ever made. I don't even wanna start on em because I won't stop. I've had a "few" problems that cost me "alot" of money due to champion plugs. It's hard to beleive that champions are the only kind of plug used to run in a Ducati, wierd, very weird. Shitty, very shitty.
