Just curious how many miles people get out of a set of tires on their daily drivers. Driving through the snow yesterday my back end kept stepping out around turns and the stability control was working overtime to keep things in line. I checked the tread and the back tires are nearly bald and pretty much useless for traction in snow.

I was expecting more than 12,500 miles out of Pirellis with a 400 treadwear rating - these were on the front for the first 7,500 miles and have been on the back for the remaining 5,000 miles. I'm sure almost all the wear happened while they were on the front since the car is FWD. I drive in a spirited fashion around turns and occasionally smoke 'em off a stoplight, but it's not like I go out Drifting or Autocrossing every weekend. On previous vehicles my tires have lasted about 20,000 miles. How about you guys?

I've got Pirelli all season tires and I've put about 30k miles soo far along with numerous trips to the track and a couple AWD burnouts and a few AWD donuts on dry pavement and they still got ATLEAST if not MORE than 75% tread left.

30,000 on the rear and 5,000 on the front. Just kidding. I think I have around 25 on my stock michelins. My paradas wore out quicker than I knew how to calculate, DAMN CAMBER!

Alex, are you sure it's camber doing that? Did you ever get an alignment after lowering to correct the toe?

I bought new tires about 2 months, and 3000-4000 miles ago. The rears still look brand new, but the tread on the fronts are pretty worn (maybe 25% tread left). They are 200 treadwear tires and have very little tread to begin with, so it's actually not too bad considering all of the stuff I've done with these tires already. Plus the turbo gives me an even more ridiculous amount of wheelspin than I had before, but now it even happens when going in a straight line. Time for a LSD...

i had Yokohamas and they became bold after 45000. ironically enough, 45000 was the warranty on them.

8000 rear on OEM S02's. They have a 220 treadwear rating.

I got 3500 miles out of a pair of brand new rears after rebuilding the supra. :)

I normally see 25-30k per set.

I've had three sets of tires on my car during the 30,000 miles I've driven it.

Potenza RE-010 - about 12,000 miles

Yokahama Paradas (crap tires BTW) - 15,000 miles

Falken Azenis - about 5,000 so far and they're just about done.
