I bet that thing is about the size of a Geo Metro and about the same power.

120hp in a 2000lb car is a bit better HP/weight ratio than a '99 Si so it should still eclipse the 16 second mark in the 1/4 asl. I think Honda may have a hit on it's hands considering most people just want the look.

BTW a Metro had only 55bhp.

Ill swap in a K24 and a turbo, make it a 12 second car, but it will still look gay like a miata.

i just wished it would be rwd, like the miata and z3. but if it's that light it might be fun.

don't you think it has look and feel of an old race car? kinda like this (http://seemall.com/kellison/jpg/x4.jpg)...

it's mentioned it will not be marketed in US. I figure they'll either come up with a modified version for US market, or they will come up with something to fill-in our sad loss - Prelude.

i thought honda said that they replaced it with the 2 door accord 6 speed with 240 hp?
LeonZ

yeah, thats what i heard too. plus RSX-s is a replacement for prelude/integra
wild.irish

hmmm, isn't that flattery for Accord? j/k
but accord is still big... that's interesting, i didn't hear about this statement

The RSX was just the integra replacement.
I don't know if I like that....

Holy shit, I had the EXACT same idea. Make a S2000 with cloth seats, H22 under the hood, FWD, and call it the S1000 for us who can't justify a 30K+ pricetag but still want a good looking convertible. Violator told me that it would be shitty to have the S2000 as an option instead of a totally unique car, kind of like my Si still being a civic.

reminds me of the honda beat. 3 cylinder 700cc turbo'd to a cool 93hp, fwd convertable.
Sounds like a cool car except that 1L isn't going to be much fun in American stop and go traffic. Why is Honda so anti-torque?

Great idea, poorly executed - basic saying is... it looks fugly and I can only see some gay person driving it. The weight/power is perfect, I am sure price will be competive.. but it just looks to 'suuppeerr!' for me. :)

I like it! Kinda ghey looking..but I think honda is headed the right direction with a few of their concepts...whats wrong with an economy car anyway? The del Sol is a small, slow, honda too..but it gets me back and forth to work cheaply..and gets 39MPG :)

Yeah and when you turn the a/c on cut that power level in half.
LeonZ

Yeah and when you turn the a/c on cut that power level in half.
reminds me of my old VW golf. basically it gave me a luxury of having a/c on or driving, but never both at the same time. with a/c on, accelerator pedal was dead. it would only move it the incline was downhill.

Yea, you can't compare a rotary engine to a piston/rod engine... it's like comparing apples and brusselsprouts.

Apples are good, if I wasn't drunk, I'd go get one right now
