View Full Version : I hate bowls, do you?
Does anyone else hate bowls? Like the kind you have in your cupboard, that you are supposed to eat ceral and ramen out of? Well, I hate those bowls. They are like novalty joke bowls. They don't even hold ONE package of ramen, even with less than the called for amount of water. Unless it's like ice cream or a grapefruit or something, I always eat out one of the like two 80 year-old tupaware bowls my mom has. I think I'll take a picture to demonstrate.

i gave up on bowls a long time ago. tupperware is the way to go, they hold more, and if you put down more than you can chew, just put a lid on it for later.

Stu i totally agree those bowls are a fucking joke... however they are good for ice cream. and cereal.. and perhaps other things that i cant think of right now.... just get asian noodle bowls yo they work great.

See, I'm glad you see the light Chris. I seriously think that those types of bowls are just another cruel form of torture from the puritans. Those fuckers made every single school chair ever used, the most uncomfortable as possible. That's one thing, but to invade the privacy of my home by installing bowls that only hold Smurf sized proportions? Fuck that! Those puritans are just trying to remotely control my weight by one of two ways:
1) Make sure that I have to get up and walk across the damn room ten times for more food.
2) Rely on my American laziness, hoping that, even though I'm still hungry, I'll just be too lazy to get up and get more food.
Lucky for them their all dead, cause I'd kill 'em.

when i run out of bowls and tupperware because im too lazy to do the dishes i move on to pots, you can make so much cereal in even the smallest pot.
After pots comes helmets, and when your really running low, old highschool jockstraps. Those are the best for first dates like when you're stupid hot friend girl sets you up with a fat girl instead of coming over herself.

Well, on the bright side, for seriously like the last year, we've had only about 3 spoons in my whole house; and there are four of us. So I complaine to my mom about it, and she bought some while I was in London. Also, these bowls aren't quite as bad as previous bowls we've had because of the oversized lip. However, I know that the lip is big just for decoration, and the fact that it serves any purpose at all is just an ironic cosmetic mistake. It's not even funny enough to laugh at.

Screw buying those expensive chinese bowls, think about how much work that will be. You'll have to look for them in some yuppy store which is a lot work, the youll have to pay money, which is bad enough, but they are probably expensive. just get a bunch of those cheap disposable tupperwares, then when you forget your bowl of cereal behind your computer you can just throw it away, even if it is salvagable, cleaning it would be way too much work.
Are Korean bowls microwave safe? Do they chip easier when washing?
I think I'm just going to start eating right out of ziplock baggies. You can't even wash those. So they save you effort just by their design.

I don't do used bowls. I like my bowls like I like my women, Big and Round and they have to hold a lot of my stuff, and I have to be able to put them away where I can't see them most of the time, and they must be easy to wash, and wait a minute.....
Bowls are like underware, they should be able to hold all the crap that I want, and I don't want old stained ones.

Finally, someone who understands my problems with bowls that are too small. I thought I was the only one! It takes a good three or four fill-ups of cerial to get a decent breakfast, so I usually give up around two and get hungry shortly afterwards. Then there's the fact that you always end up having more soup or ramen than bowl... it's like the hot-dogs-and-buns conspiracy, but at least you don't have to buy a new bowl every time. That is, until the evil bowl empire figures out a way to change that!

Yeah, and too cold on your bare legs with cereal in the morning. I think that the reason that cereal comes in a bag in the box, is so you can pour milk right into the box, but that's just me.
Bowls suck. They need to just quit messing around and go to a playoff system.

ok, after much sleep last night, I came up with a great idea. A collapsable plastic bowl that's big. You can carry it around with you when people tend to have american bowls inside their house. So you can whip it out, and voila a big bowl.
