I have some alarm on my car. I don't know what kind it is, but I do know it dosn't work. I won't try to mask my ignorance of car alarms so I'll just ask this question straight up. Is there a battery in the car alarm itself, or is it wired into the car battery? I can replace the battery in my little remote control all day but it still won't let me "arm" the alarm itself. (The alarm came with the car, so I know it's pretty crappy, but I figure if somebody's gonna steal my car, I'll be damned if they shouldn't be annoyed with the girley beeping sound it makes!)

Most likely, it is using the car's battery for power. As for your alarm not working, there could be many reasons. Blown fuse, disconnected wire, alarm and remote are out of sync.

When colonists came to Australia, they saw a kangaroo and asked the Aboriginies "What in gods name is THAT?!" The Aboriginies replied "Kangaroo?" which, in Aboriginal means "I don't understand your question". Didn't know that did you...
Hmmmmmmmmm......I'd heard that, but was never convinced it was fact. Now that I've had a chance to research it, you might wanna change your sig.... :)

Take it to cartoys...I took my friends car there because his alarm was dead...It was just a fuse...no problem to fix, didnt even charge us for anything, it was one of those external fuses hidden under the hood. For i think 36 bucks ever half hour they will troubleshoot.
