yo kids,
dont know how many of you noticed, but i've been mia since late august. anyways, just wanted to announce my official return to HAI, as well as the United States, in this thread.
i just returned from Semester at Sea, and it was an incredible, impacting semester. for those of you who dont know, SAS is a study abroad program held on an old cruise ship that has been somewhat converted into a floating university. students take classes on the ship as they circumnavigate the globe. along the way, we stopped at 9 ports in various countries all over the world and spent about 5 days in each getting out and exploring them in whatever way we chose to. the voyage i went on travelled to japan, china, vietnam, cambodia, thailand, myanmar, india, tanzania, south africa, brazil and cuba (for those of you counting, i travelled to two extra countries by plane during my trip). its more expensive than your average semester in college, but there really is no price you could put on the amazing experiences i've had in the past 3.5 months.
