I've always used DEI Viper alarms installed by Quality Auto Sound. They've been pretty good at taking car of any issues I had. I went to the one on West Colfax. I'm not sure how the other stores are.

The alarm is all in the install - so IMO, DON'T get some shop to do it... especially with all the theft - take a good day or two and do the install yourself. Then you know how good of an install you did yourself, and you can make changes if you need too.

the hardest part is finding the wires for everything and breaking your back laying in the car.
Get either a two way or a pager for your alarm. Compustar is a good company but i just haven't found a place that will install it. good luck jon.

I can't say I would recommend quality auto sound, at least the installs I've seen were shit, I think your best bet would be to take the time to do it yourself(maybe tobi does those too, but I've never heard of that).

definitely do it yourself... If you need the wiring diagrams for your car let me know I can get them. also Stellar Alarms are good, they are made by autoloc and you get some great functions for the price I can get you one of those for about $200, and that is a heavy discount off the retail price of $350. If you get 3 people in on it I can do them for $150

Have you heard anything about these places?
I would do it my self but I'm just to damn lazy, and I have never installed one before so I wouldn't really know what I was doing.

It's really tempting to have a shop do all the work, but that's really the last thing you want... I've heard of some crazy shit with people stealing cars that way. Just think they'll have your name, phone, address, and plate numbers for sure. Not my cup a tea.

GET GPS SYTEM IF YOU HAVE INVESTED ALOT OF MONEY ON VEHICLE. IF IT GETS STOLEN IT WILL BE TRACKED BY SATELITE THRUOUT THE THEFT. I HEARED AROUND $1000

I wish there was something on the lines of northstar available.
If you get navigation in your car, you have a tracking option.
