i was wondering if you could put a d16z6 head and vtec on a d16a1 integra motor? and would it work?

I dont think so, The D16A1 is the same as the early CRX's and civics, 84-87. But they dont share any part numbers with anything newer than 88.

Im not sure if it has been done and if it is even worth the money. Try doing some searches on Honda-tech and maybe Hybrid garage. Somebody has probably tired it.
